Satisfaction through the Process of Change

Seeking or hoping for change is expected when we are unhappy or dissatisfied with the way things are in our lives. Whether we are in a relationship or a job that is difficult for one reason or another, when we feel uneasy about the resources we have available to us, or when we are having an experience of any kind that is causing those emotions, we expect that we or others will do what is in our or their power to change what is not a the minimum satisfying us. Then, how do we feel about change when we are feeling satisfied? When things feel good for us, do we continue our prayers for change?

Looking for change when we are satisfied or even grateful is commonly thought to be odd if not downright unhealthy. We may even resist change. But we also have to remember, when living the intentional life, that the only constant is change. Anything that does not change and evolve, stagnates and dies. It may be that precisely when we are feeling the best about who we are and what we are doing that looking for change and evolution is the most productive. What do you think? Let’s see what this week’s spread has to say to us.
