Be Fluid, Be ReadyBy Derek John Thomas / April 10, 2024 Many people believe that they have to work hard to be worthy of living the lives that they want to live. I know that I was taught the value of hard work. Struggle and strife are often rewarded with praise and admiration. That, however, is not what living an intentional life is about. The effort and exertion that many of us believe is what we have to pay for our rewards are indications that we are fighting against the powerful current of our intention. Living intentionally, on the other hand, is enjoyable, exciting, and also peaceful. I’m not saying that living intentionally is a lazy lifestyle. Our intention when we came into these bodies was to enjoy using them to experience and create in the world. We aren’t co-creating these magnificent forms to let them sit idly on a couch waiting for stuff to come to us. We came here to search around, to experience, to play, and a lot of the searching, experiencing, and playing can be doing work or studying at school. If we can learn to play at our jobs or with our study, we are truly learning how to live life intentionally. Work and play are not inherent opposites. It is only our mindset that make them so. This week’s spread seems to be pointing in the direction of this aspect of living the intentional life. This week’s spread seems to be pointing in the direction of this aspect of living the intentional life.
