Clouds are symbols of several things, but through the lens of Lenormand, they are what make us confused and unable to see clearly. If you’ve ever been on a mountain as low flying clouds roll in or on an airplane flying into clouds, you’ll understand the feeling. You can’t see where you are or what is around you. It’s like fog, if you’ve ever experienced a very thick fog.
This week’s Lenormand spread is pointing toward those clouds being not only making it difficult to see where we are but also who we are. The act of cutting through those clouds seems to be very beneficial, but how can we do that? I have, by happy chance, stumbled onto a journaling process that been quite effective for me. I have five oracle decks, each of which corresponds to one of five elements: aether, fires, water, air, and earth. I use my pendulum to choose the deck for the evening, asking, “Which deck will give me the card with the best prompt for a journal entry to increase ______.(love, hope, awareness, etc.)” I then shuffle the deck and pull a card. I look at the card and guidebook, and write a summary of a couple of sentences in my journal. Next I feel for what question that information inspires for me. The rest of my journaling tim is an exploration of answers that arise around that question. Perhaps a journaling method like this will be helpful, as this week’s Lenormand spread strongly indicates that we would benefit from finding some solutions.
