Have you experienced burnout? There are few who have not, to my knowledge. What is the reason for burnout exactly? People point to many causes. An imbalance between activity and rest is the most usual suspect, but it could be from a sense of lack of or a reduction in self-authority, or a feeling that our perceived efforts are not garnering equitable rewards. The list of potential causes is long, but I notice that they all boil down to one thing: resistance spurred by perceived imbalance.
Burnout is not fun. Our ability to produce, particularly at this time when we have such potential for production, is greatly reduced; we feel exhausted. In addition, that exhaustion can lead to us becoming reactive in one way or another. Our inner critic, accusator, and petulant child can come out and take over. The overall theme of this week’s spread is very positive, with a clear side note to be careful to avoid burnout.
Come take a look at the spread with me.
