Moving on from Disappointment

Last week we focused on the leap into change, but here we are. Disappointment. In the video intro, I ponder four different sources of disappointment, but now, I’m considering whether disappointment might be a misunderstanding on our parts. Could it be because we have misunderstood the process of evolution from where we are to where we want to be? An understanding of living an intentional life is based on the knowledge that for most of the experiences we want to have, be they relationships, occupation, creative expression, living spaces, etc., we will have to evolve to become the ones who have those experiences. What if that journey does not look like we had anticipated? Could that incongruity lead to a feeling of disappointment?

Either way, the feeling of disappointment is valid, and indicates that we do not have full access to the power of the current of intention. However, be of good cheer, disappointment is merely the launching pad. We have directions to take and choices to make. Come along with me to explore this week’s spread.
