Self in the World

In the holiday season, we are mostly very busy. Whether we are preparing for Chanukah, Christmas, Yule, Kwanzaa, Bodhi Day, Diwali, the New Year, or any other end-of-one-year-beginning-of-the-next seasonal occasion, there is a lot to do, from the preparations for celebrations, gathering together with friends and family, travel, and not to mention the end of the year tasks that pile up at work for many of us. There’s a lot going on for most of us around the globe at this time of year.

Because of this increase in activity and accompanying distraction, we are often reminded to get and stay grounded during this season. How can we do that? This week’s spread points to a couple of areas to consider. The first seems to be to be conscious of what messages and information we are consuming. Anything that will pull us away from giving attention to the fullness of ourselves manifesting in these wonderful human bodies will bring instability and dramatic decrease in our potential access to the power of intention. We could also benefit from limiting the amount of information (and stuff) that we seek out both online and in the world. This is a time for resting in the fullness of who we are and where we are at the moment.

This is a very important spread for this time of year. I didn’t realize how important it was until I started reading it with you.
