There are many kinds of burdens we experience in our lives. A family member of a friend may become burdensome when we feel responsible for taking care of them. We might feel the burden of the work we are assigned by others or ourselves at work or at home. We could feel the burden of taking care of ourselves and our bodies if our capacities have diminished either temporarily or permanently. Even the sense of responsibility for finishing a creative project could feel burdensome to some. Burden indeed comes in many forms and weights, and it might be unreasonable to expect that, even if we are living our most intentional lives, that we will never again feel it.
We also know that the feeling of burden is a sign that we are reacting to circumstances in such a way that we are limiting our own access to the power of intention. The feeling of burden is an emotional response to circumstances, and it is one that weighs us down and closes us off from accessing at least a portion of the energy that can flow through the eternal natures that we are, the power of intention.
We all feel burdened at times in our lives, and whether you feel it now or not, this week’s spread will probably be helpful for now and the future.
